Vulture: Even if Iggy Azalea never saw the instant-classic meme of Sarah Palin’s bizarre Donald Trump speech dubbed over her own equally bizarre live rapping, she would’ve been having a bad week. Not in the very least because, as she shared with fans in one of her usual TMI-filled stories, she peed herself during a root canal on Wednesday. (In her defense, Iggy says she was sedated for eight hours.) No, her real hump-day woes stem from an already-backfiring career comeback: The rap pariah tweeted last night that her label is refusing to let her film a video for her “buzz” single “Azillion” because her hive has not been buzzing loud enough.
She released the song under the presumptive impression that it would go “viral” — in fact, she notes in her tweets, it already has. “I felt like it was dope so, whatever. Ted Cockle doesn’t wanna see me shine. What can I say,” she ranted, calling out the president of Virgin EMI, as you do when you’re keeping things “mildly professional.” Of course, only the internet can decide what goes viral, and it appears the internet has spoken: 879,000 streams does not a viral hit make. So, what’s a disgruntled artist to do? “If all else fails, I’ll just drive around L.A. and play my new album really loudly every Monday from 4-6pm hahaha.” L.A., you’ve been warned.
Iggy Azalea teases “Middle Man”, new track from “Digital Distortion”
Idolator: Iggy Azalea promised to deliver new music yesterday (January 14) and she came through in the early hours of the morning with a snippet of “Middle Man.†The second buzz track from sophomore LP Digital Distortion finds the Australian rapper in a combative mood. The 25-year-old touches on the mayhem of the last 12 months (she’s still the realest) over a spooky beat courtesy of production collective D.R.U.G.S. (Dirty Rotten Underground Sound).
“Middle Man†is a change of pace from the catchy, upbeat “AZILLION.†It’s a reminder that, contrary to Twitter trolls and click-hungry music writers, Iggy can indeed rap. A point the producers make at the end of the snippet (below) when they sarcastically call it “the best pop song.†The full version is expected to arrive imminently, followed by official lead single “Team.â€

Iggy Azalea tweets about new music being ready after a month off from her social networks
Iggy Azalea was pretty quiet during the entire month of November. None of her social networks were updated in the meantime. On Tuesday (December 1st) she posted on Twitter a few lines, as well as a new picture (which you can see above).
In the tweets she talks about having finished the album, having some problems with how the music is going to be released (as she apparently signed out of a UK label and is closing with the Def Jam team), talks about the Christmas spirit (and the Barnes & Noble’s commercial with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett) and also about one of her horses, that is now sick. Read Iggy’s latest tweets:
Hi guys i know its been a while.
We are days from 2016, but i came online today and saw its still cool to try and discredit my 2014 accomplishments. LOL, fucking hell.
Seems exhausting. Anyway – Ive been enjoying the holiday season and i hope you all have too.
I dont really know what im doing with my music release; but im finished (except for getting the features recorded)
Right now i live in america and am very close to the Def Jam team; but im actually signed out of the UK. Things are complicated.
Im ready with my music but i am also trying to restructure some things to work smoother and better for me.
So we are all kind of still just figuring out how things should work and id guess thats going to take a few weeks.
also. rando comment. Lady gaga looks beautiful in her holiday commercial with Tony and its put me in the christmas spirit.
Also horse update for any fellow horse lovers, one of mine might have Lymes 🙁
that or hes just not doing with well in this climate. we are waiting on blood work.
So i hope he will get better, but its already been 3 months without riding him and he may have to go back to the east coast.
so im a little heart broken but still hopeful about things. Defender is doing fine and has been consoling me. lol.
I’ll let you guys know if i get any updates, but if not… see you next year! enjoy the rest of 2015. xoxo
New Iggy Azalea album will be titled “Digital Distortion”
Iggy Azalea’s sophomore effort has, finally, an official title. The rumors came true as the Australian rapper confirmed on Tuesday (December 6th), her new album will be called “Digital Distortion”. Furthermore, she added that none of the song of the album will be called “Digital Distortion”, being it just the album’s name.
Azalea revealed via Twitter that the photoshoot for the new album has already been made, but the record has yet to have an official cover. She said to be working with a designer in order to accomplish the image she desires for the project.
As for features, she said the album has none so far, but she will be inviting some people soon. She mentioned her feature on Demi Lovato’s new album, in the track “Kingdom Come”, and she also confirmed to have written a song for Selena Gomez titled “Girl Crush”, but Gomez did not use it.
Azalea has been teasing images with distorted pixels posted on her Twitter and Instagram accounts for the past few weeks. These photographs (like the one above) have started the “Digital Distortion” name rumor, which eventually turned out true.
Iggy Azalea confirmed at Coca-Cola Music Experience Festival in Spain in October
In a press release published on Saturday (September 19th) Coca-Cola reps in Spain announced Iggy Azalea as one of the music acts performing at The Coca-Cola Music Experience in Madrid on October 16th.
Iggy Azalea was added last-minute as Demi Lovato unexpectedly dropped her appearance. Azalea will be joining Sweet California, Jacob Whitesides, The Tide, Benjamin and other acts at the concert being held at The Barclays Center.
Demi Lovato did not explain her dropout, but recorded a fan apology where she states she’s sorry for not performing at the event, promising Spanish fans she’ll be there next year while touring.
Iggy Azalea announces buzz single “Zillion”
Idolator: Iggy Azalea jumped on Twitter this morning (September 4) and spilled all the tea. For starters, she revealed that she’s going to drop a buzz track called “Zillion†in the not too distant future. “I have decided i will release a buzz track & video fairly soon so my fans can get an understanding of what this new album sounds/looks like,†the Aussie rapper tweeted. “Its not going to be my first single. it is intended only as an introduction.â€
The 25-year-old has previously described her new music as “totally different,†so it will be interesting to hear what she comes up with. The timing, however, is curious. She’s been very vocal about not releasing new music until 2016. Does this mean her sophomore LP has been moved forward? In other news, Iggy clarified that she did, in fact, hear Demi Lovato’s “Kingdom Come†before recording her verse.
“I think someone that interviewed demi wrote an article that says i wrote kingdom come without ever hearing the music,†the “Fancy†hitmaker tweeted. “She meant i agreed to do the song without having heard it first, not that i recorded and wrote it sans song and music. thats impossible.†Well, there goes my theory about Iggy being a psychic! Check out the rap diva’s informative tweets below.

Iggy Azalea confirms Demi Lovato feature, says it won’t be a single
Iggy Azalea has just confirmed her friend (and bridesmaid) Demi Lovato will “definitely” be featured in her [Demi’s] upcoming studio album. While Azalea and Lovato are still figuring out in which song they will be together, we are sure it will be a hell of a jam.
Yes, we are excited, but apparently, the song will not become a single for the duo. Iggy replied to a fan on Twitter saying that the Lovato song will not be a single. Furthermore, she added Demi is the only feature she’ll be having and she won’t appear in other artist’s songs until her new material is out.
Azalea confirmed a couple of weeks ago that she already has six songs on lock for her next album, and the first single will be out by next year.
Check out the tweets on the Azalea x Lovato music partnership:
@Phoenix_Stone09 no its not a single.
